Please note: Wendy’s classes have already sold out for the first week! Spaces on all classes are limited, so early booking is advised.

Beginning with a guided visualization, Wendy will show students how to access the unique gifts that can only be discovered by flexing one’s own imagination. She will enable the class to understand how to breathe life into a sculpture through an understanding of “anatomy with integrity.” The master model-maker will share her knowledge and technical expertise about how to construct an armatured creature that is fully capable of expression through movement. The head, hands, upper torso and feet will be sculpted while participants gain knowledge of proportion and technique. Students will work with the artist to paint their sculptures and finally finish them with embellishments of hair, costumes and accouterments. Wendy has given similar, abbreviated creative workshops in the past, and her students have always been overwhelmingly pleased about the artistic growth and inspiration they gained.

The Liminal Line – Drawing the Unseen | Brian will share his insights into the inner world of Faerie and teach his unique process of using a sketchbook and pencils to express and develop style, emotion and characters. Students will discover new realms of their own inner creative spirits when Brian shows them how to build pathways to new places in their imaginations.

He will show participants how the expressive use of line and color is a response to an impulse that exists in everything around us, and how to use it effectively as a tool when developing characters and finished drawings.

Both master classes are serious but light-hearted workshops, with no previous or professional experience required.

Hobbit fans will be thrilled to discover that the first Hobbit t-shirts have been released officially by Warner Bros. The most famous Hobbit,  Bilbo Baggins features on the front of the new shirts, and he can be seen coming out of his front door at the start of the journey that changes his life forever.

April 2nd 2012 sees the release of  ‘Mirror Mirror’  a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale starring Oscar® winner Julia Roberts as the Queen, Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as Prince Alcott, Sean Bean (“The Game of Thrones”, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) as the King and Nathan Lane (The Lion King, The Birdcage) as the Queen’s hapless and bungling servant, Brighton.

An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.

Visionary director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) rewrites fairy tale history as a wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan’s (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer). When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits.

Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen. With the support of her subjects, she roars into action in an epic battle that blends spectacle, magic and contemporary humor in Singh’s signature, jaw-dropping visual style.
