“Welcome home to the faerie fold of the ancient Celtic faerie Lands”
FAE was founded by Karen Kay in the winter of 2007. The vision behind the faery-sized publication is to take faeries and a faery lifestyle out into the world, so that people can learn more about the ways of the fae. The faeries are the guardians of the land, so they have a natural affinity with their environment, and many humans feel the same way, this is where the lines blur between the faery realms and the human realms. Many of the Fairy tales and legends originate from the British Isles and so it seemed only natural for a dedicated magazine based in the UK.
In each issue you will find folklore, fashion, art, films, meditations, tutorials, a diary of events, the FAE Marketplace, and much more, plus more exclusives than you can shake a faery wand at! The magazine is created, printed and published in the UK in the Celtic land of magical Cornwall. FAE is also FSC accredited, which means we only use paper from sustainable and traceable resources because, like the faeries, FAE cares about the environment deeply.

Editor in Chief and Founder, Karen Kay is bringing into being a long held dream, a magazine dedicated to faeries and all things fae. Karen is the Managing Director of Pixie Publishing Ltd and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, including Media Law.
She has been employed by the BBC and independent radio, and was the Cornwall Editor for Connect, an environmental magazine. She also has her own column in South West Connections magazine, and has written features for main stream publications.
Karen is also an event organiser, and is the founder of Love & Light Events (1994). Her numerous events include The Earth, Health & Mystic Fayres, The Angel Conference (a one-off event in 1999), Faery, Angel & Healing Fayre (Est. 2003), The Faery Ball (Est 2006) and the 3 Wishes Faery Fest (Est 2007).
She lives with her family in magical Celtic Cornwall, home of the fae, where stories of faeries, wishing wells, faery dells, folklore, fairy tales are in abundance. Visit www.karenkay.co.uk
